Project Overview
Japan sees a lot of natural disasters whether it be earthquakes, tsunamis, or typhoons. This project is a compilation album made to raise funds for displaced people affected by these disasters. This project was enjoyable to work on since I love Japanese music and I saw this as an opportunity to plug some of my favorite artists and songs. The different language also proved to be an interesting hurdle as I had to design around an entirely different alphabet. The background for the cover is a pile of Japanese newspapers that I actually ordered from Japan and coincidentally there happened to be an article on a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that happened. As a finishing touch I made a Spotify playlist with all the songs included in the album, give it a listen using the Spotify code on the back of the album.
